Acer S2w 4300u 3300u Scanner Driver
To get my own Acer 320U scanner up and running in Win8.1 x64. This driver also works in Win7 to Win10! The same drivers work for the following abandoned Acer/BenQ scanner models: 310U/620U; 320U/340U/620U+/640U; 620UT+/640UT; 1240UT/5100U; 640BT/640BU; 4300U/3300U; 4300U/3300U. Downloads Drivers Scanners; Acer S2W 3300U 4.04u. USER REVIEWS. No user reviews were found. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. For what are you going to use the program? With this program i'm going to make scanning of images, texts, photos, documents and other activities like making copies to modify them later.
I have a new Toshiba Satellite Pro M70 laptop with Win XP Pro SP2 (fully updated). I have a VuegoScan flatbed scanner (equivalent I think to Acer 4300U/3300U &/or Benq S2W 4300U/3300U), which I had intended to install with the latest scanner software update (mirascan_v403u10b.exe - 9.2MB), which I downloaded from the internet. However I inadvertantly connected the scanner to the laptop, and turned it on before installing the scanner software, with the result that Windows XP automatically detected the scanner. In Device Manager under Imaging Devices, it shows up as Flatbed Scanner_23, Manufacturer: Acer Peripherals, and the 'Driver File Details' tab lists 11 drivers.
Question is, can I/should I install the scanner software that I downloaded? Are there any bad consequences in doing so? How should I go about it? Would I be able to revert to the Windows scanner drivers if the software installation fails? Would appreciate any advice. Thank you Alan C. Alan, rt click MyComputer>select Prop>Hardware>Device Manager>Imaging Device.
Rt click choose Uninstall. Disconnect the Scanner and restart. Install the Scanner Software and connect the scanner when told to do so.
You can always go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the Scanner Software. Is there any risk that the Windows XP drivers for the scanner will be permanently lost when I uninstall them? If the Scanner software does not work, and I uninstall it, will the Windows XP drivers for the scanner be automatically re-installed when I reconnect the scanner to the laptop?
Is there any possibility/likelihood that installing and uninstalling the scanner will cause any conflicts with, or change the versions of, the Windows XP drivers for the scanner. By the way, I found an article entitled - 'Windows XP: List of Scanners That Are Supported by Windows Image Acquisition', which has a list of all the supported scanners, including mine, Acer S2W 3300 or S2W 4300 (16V), but not sure which.
Is there any way of telling? Brown ------------ 'Rich Barry' wrote in message news:ntzpg.5261$. >Alan, rt click MyComputer>select Prop>Hardware>Device Manager>Imaging >Device. It worked, but did not like it, and therefore uninstalled it. Restored system. Then installed what I thought was the latest scanner software update (mirascan_v403u10b.exe - 9.2MB) that I had downloaded.
It did not work at all. When I connected the scanner, it was detected as Scanner 22 by Windows XP, which asked for drivers, which could not be found, even in the Mirascan folder. Unistallled the software and did a system restore.
Still detected as Scanner 22 and still cannot locate the drivers. Result now is that I cannot use the scanner with the original Windows XP scanner drivers, which cannot be found. Also my Kodak L743 digital camera in not recognised when I connect it to the laptop to transfer photos. Only good thing is that I did not try this with the new laptop. Would appreciate if anyone could advise me how to restore the Windows XP drivers for the scanner, and if possible the drivers for the digital camera( will probably have to reinstall the Kodak Easyshare software). ----------------- 'Rich Barry' wrote in message news:RNZpg.22890$.
