I don't see it listed, but does anyone have Techstream working under Windows 10, preferably x64? It works flawlessly on my Win7 x64 box, but I want to make sure to block the upgrade if it's going to give me problems. In fact have had it for a few weeks and just installed it today and reset several parameters (drivers seat belt chime, lights stay on duration, etc.). I am running version 10.20.030 which apparently is very recent. The install is a little hokey but I got it working after about an hour on my new Win10 machine. Download techstream V10.30.029 at: and tested working fine with the USB cable mini vci by Xhorse from: USB port plugs to laptop, the other end goes to the OBD2 port. I was advised better run techstream on old windows XP, but I run on Win7 pro 32bit, it works.

Techstream V10.30.029 installation need the key according to the ID, the file contains one key to crack it. Installation procedure as follows: 1) Install TOYOTA TIS Techstream V10.30.029 2) Install MCVI driver 3) Copy 'Mainmenu' application, right click the gray icon 'Techstream', click 'Properties' - 'Find Target', then paste the 'Mainmenu' application to replace the existing file.

4) Connect the device to the vehicle and then install driver! 5) Open the icon 'Techstream' on the desktop, please note you shoule select area 'Europe' 6) When you click 'Connect to Vehicle', it pops up a window about 'Register Techstream Software) and it asks for a new key, click 'Cancle'. Go to open the folder 'Toyota techstream 10.30.029', open text document 'Serie' and copy the key number in it, and paste it into the blank key after 'New key' and click ok, register successfully.

7) Diagnose Toyota vehicles. Toyota TIS techstream V10.10.018 software is verified running well on Xhorse MINI VCI cable, Xhorse MVCI and Mangose cable for Toyota.

Then got one mini vci by Xhorse running techstream V10.10.018: USB port plugs to laptop, the other end goes to the OBD2 port. Runing at XP Mode in Win7 pro. Techstream V10.10.018 installation is simple, no need to active, firstly install TOYOTA TIS Techstream, then install MCVI driver, and then click 'MVCI Firmware Update Tool' on the desktop to read out device detailed info including SN, model, firmware version, dealer code, status. Finally, click 'Techstream' on the desktop to diagnose, successfully read out DTC, datastream. NOW,it have update TOYOTA TIS Techstream v10.30.029 and if you want to know how to install,you can visit this site! For those of you who have commented on successfully seeing the connector work via the firmware update tool, but not able to connect using the Techstream software, I think I know why.

The information that is copied to the registry gives very specific locations for the Xhorse drivers. Make sure that the directories you create are in EXACTLY the same location specified in the instructions, and with the exact same spelling and wording as listed. Not sure if capitalization matters or not, but to be safe I'd even make sure that is followed. I was having the same problems others had noted. I was getting a connection error message within Techstream.

I looked at the registry info and saw it was all there, but I also noticed that the file locations were called out there as well. I double checked my folder names, and sure enough I had a typo in one of my folder names.

I fixed it and was then able to connect to the car. One other thing to note.

There is something about the MVCI Driver files that my anti virus doesn't like. Dosch Packaging Design V2 Rapidshare Free. It kept deleting it. I had to add it to my exceptions list to make sure it remained intact. If that gets deleted, your Techstream won't be able to connect. Hope this helps.

I'm not amazing with computers and the first attempt left me with the 'unable to connect to VIM' error I ended up downloading 64bit drivers from the first post in this thread:. Once I extracted the file in winrar there was a text document with pretty clear instructions. I followed them step by step and it worked great. I downloaded the techstream from the same post but its is an older version 9.xx if I remember correctly. It recognized my 2011 tho so thats fine with me.

Thanks for posting this, I bought a Mini VCI with TIS off of amazon not too long ago and got the same error. I honestly figured it was because I had no idea how to set stuff up in windows.

Take 2006 Land Cruiser for example, Techstream (~ Hand Held Tester) connects via your OBDII port in the footwell, Toyota/Lexus call it DLC3 – Data Link Connector – and DLC1 is the connector under the hood. It provides easier access (for me at least) to the main players for AHC diagnostics which are the Ts, Tc and E1 ports. Regardless, Tc and Ts are connected in parallel. It’s worth noting that there is some erroneous info for the DLC3 terminal pin outs. I have Toyota EWDs and Diagnostics pages that represent terminal Ts as on pin 12 or pin 14 – this makes a big difference to your fault finding efforts! If you’re going to use DLC3 it’s worth physically verifying your connections and validating your data.

For my 03 LX I have Ts (white wire) on terminal 12 and Tc (pink/black) on terminal 13. Cg in DLC3 is E1 and I’ve always seen it on terminal 4. I bought one of those cables for my father-in-law so he could read ODBII codes. It claimed TIS support, but for $35 I was sure this would be read only. It arrived earlier this week.

I just opened the box today. It came with TIS software and drivers. I installed it and it *works* exactly the same as my much more expensive mongoose. Power Electronics Mohan 3rd Edition on this page. It has a full version of TIS, no license required. I reprogrammed a couple of options – works great.

This is $35 folks! Less than the cost of what some of you are paying to enter your TPMS codes for winter/summer tires at the dealership. Shipping took a couple of weeks.
