If your laptop has a serial port on it, then you can use a Technomotive (TMO) datalogger with it. They sell for $300 new, and occasionally pop up on ebay and the trader. I picked mine up for $150 a few years ago, which was a steal back then. TMO's site is if you want to learn more about it. Minimum system requirements, etc are on the website. Another option is to get a datalogger cable from, and get a 'backup copy' of the TMO software from someone who has it. The TMO software is copyrighted, so you might have to dig around to find it.

TMO doesn't sell the software separately. The third option is to buy the cable from PPT, and look for a different logger program. Yeah, I wouldn't personally steal the TMO software, but there are plenty of people who just give it away to anyone who wants it. I have an actual TMO logger & software, not a knock-off cable and pirated software.
